Concept

The title of the artwork is a play on words with the Spanish translation of the title of Hitchcock's film, Rear Window // La Ventana indiscreta. It also refers to discrete data, characteristic of digital systems and opposed to continuous data of analogue systems.

La Ventana Discreta presents a further exploration of reflections onto different surfaces, which allow the moving image to expand from the screen and adopt the shape of tetrahedrons. These polyhedrons are one of the 5 platonic solids, for the pythagoreans they represented the element of fire.
